Fuel Tank Draining

WARNING: This procedure involves fuel handling. Be prepared for spillage at all times and always observe fuel handling precautions. Failure to follow these instructions can result in personal injury.
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Release the fuel tank filler cap and position aside.
  3. Insert the hose guide in the filler neck.

  4. Insert the chamfered end of the hose into the filler neck through the guide tube. Insert the hose until the stop contacts the guide tube. If the stop does not contact the guide tube, remove the hose and repeat the procedure.

  5. Attach the fuel storage tanker to the hose and siphon the fuel from the tank.
