Toe Adjustment

  1. Start the engine and center the steering wheel.
  2. Turn the engine off and using a suitable holding device, lock the steering wheel in the straight ahead position.
  3. Using alignment equipment and the manufacturer's instructions, measure the toe settings.
  4. Remove the clamps.

  5. Loosen the tie-rod jam nuts.

  6. NOTE: Do not allow the steering gear bellows to twist when the front wheel spindle tie rod is rotated.
  7. Adjust the toe setting.
  8. Tighten the tie-rod jam nuts to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).

  9. Install the clamps.

  10. Recheck the toe settings and adjust as necessary.
