- The shift control is out of correct gear relationship

- Shift control component(s).
- Internal transaxle component(s).

- The selector lever indicator does not correspond to the gear
|
- Selector lever indicator adjustment.
|
- CHECK that the selector lever indicator adjustment is correct. REFER to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTMENT in this article. ADJUST the selector lever indicator if necessary. TEST the system for normal operation. If the condition persists, GO to PINPOINT TEST B .

- The control linkage is binding
|
- Shift control component(s).
- Internal transaxle component(s).

- The gearshift lever will not shift through all gear ranges
|
- Shift control component(s).
- Internal transaxle component(s).

- Rattle, noise, buzz or other noise
|
- Gearshift lever.
- Steering column shrouds.
|
- INSPECT the gearshift lever and shrouds for damage and incorrect installation. REPAIR as necessary.

- Water enters inside the vehicle
|
- Shift cable rubber grommet.
|
- SECURE the grommet to the bulkhead.
|
- Torn shift cable rubber grommet.
|
