Digital Transmission Range (TR) Sensor: Installation

  1. Install the digital TR sensor and loosely install the bolts.

  2. Using the special tool, align the digital TR sensor and tighten the bolts.
    • Tighten to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft).

  3. Install the manual control lever and cable
    1. Install the manual lever and nut.
      • Tighten to 13 Nm (10 lb-ft).

  4. Connect the shift cable back onto the manual control lever.

  5. Install the air filter assembly.

  6. Install the engine air cleaner lid.

  7. Reconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor and the breather tubes.

  8. Verify that the shift cable is correctly adjusted. For additional information, refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION EXTERNAL CONTROLS .
