Maintenance Schedule - Hybrid: Notes
The maintenance schedule is designed to protect against major repairs resulting from neglect or inadequate maintenance and to prolong the life of the vehicle.
Special Operating Conditions
If your vehicle is operated in any of the following manners, you will need to carry-out some maintenance operations more frequently:
- towing a trailer or using a camper or car-top carrier.
- extensive idling and/or low-speed driving for long distances as in heavy commercial use such as delivery, taxi, patrol or livery.
- operating in dusty conditions such as unpaved or dusty roads.
- off-road operation.
If any of the above conditions apply to your vehicle operation, you will need to carry-out the following maintenance operations in addition to the operations listed in the maintenance schedule.
Towing a trailer or using a camper or car-top carrier:
- Change the engine oil and install a new oil filter every 8,000 km (5,000 miles) or 12 months or 200 hours of engine operation.
- Inspect and rotate the tires every 8,000 km (5,000 miles).
Extensive idling and/or low-speed driving for long distances as in heavy commercial use such as delivery, taxi, patrol or livery:
- Change the engine oil and install a new oil filter every 8,000 km (5,000 miles) or 12 months or 200 hours of engine operation.
- Inspect and rotate the tires every 8,000 km (5,000 miles).
- Install new spark plugs every 96,000 km (60,000 miles).
- Install a new cabin air filter (if equipped) as required.
Operating in dusty conditions such as unpaved or dusty roads:
- Change the engine oil and install a new oil filter every 8,000 km (5,000 miles) or 12 months or 200 hours of engine operation.
- Inspect and rotate the tires every 8,000 km (5,000 miles).
- Install a new cabin air filter (if equipped) as required.
- Install a new engine air filter as required.
- Install a new high voltage battery A/C filter as required.
Off-road operation:
- Change the engine oil and install a new oil filter every 8,000 km (5,000 miles) or 12 months or 200 hours of engine operation.
- Inspect and rotate the tires every 8,000 km (5,000 miles).
- Install a new cabin air filter (if equipped) as required.
- Install a new engine air filter as required.
- Install a new high voltage battery A/C filter as required.
