Module Controlled Functions

The generic electronic module (GEM) is equipped on all vehicles and is located behind the glove compartment.

The GEM controls the following functions:

• Battery saver
• Warning chime
• Front and rear wipers
• Interior lighting
• Door ajar warning indicator lamp
• Remote keyless entry (RKE) (if equipped)
• Power door lock system
• Perimeter anti-theft alarm

For the interior lamps and illuminated entry, refer to INTERIOR LIGHTING article.
