Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS)

The anti-lock brake system (ABS) consists of the following components:

• Hydraulic control unit (HCU)
• ABS module
• Front wheel speed sensors and sensor rings (part of the front hub and bearing assembly)
• Rear wheel speed sensors
• Rear wheel speed sensor rings (part of the rear hub and bearing assembly)
• Yellow ABS warning indicator

The front wheel speed sensors and front wheel speed sensor rings are integral to the front hub and bearing assemblies. Refer to FRONT SUSPENSION article.

The rear wheel speed sensor rings are integral to the rear hub and bearing assembly. Refer to REAR SUSPENSION article.
