Valve Cover - RH: Installation

NOTE: Do not clean the valve cover gasket with solvent. Damage to the valve cover gasket may occur.
  1. Using metal surface cleaner, clean the cylinder head mating surfaces.
  2. NOTE: If the RH valve cover is not secured within 4 minutes, the sealant must be removed and the sealing area cleaned with metal surface cleaner. Allow to dry until there is no sign of wetness or 4 minutes, whichever is longer. Failure to follow this procedure can cause future oil leakage.
  3. Apply a bead of silicone gasket and sealant in 2 places where the cylinder head and intake manifold meet.
