Transmission Selector Lever - Column Shift: Removal

  1. Remove the tilt column handle and shank.
  2. Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder. For additional information, refer to HANDLES, LOCKS, LATCHES AND ENTRY SYSTEMS article.
  3. Remove the screws and the lower instrument panel covering.
  4. Remove the upper and the lower steering column shrouds.
  5. Remove the steering column opening weather seal, the transaxle range selector lever pin and the transaxle range selector lever.
  6. Remove the transaxle range selector lever clip.
