Removal And Installation
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES article.
- Remove the air cleaner outlet tube. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FILTERING article.
- Remove the 2 pin-type retainers and the accelerator cable snow shield.
- Disconnect the accelerator cable, speed control cable and throttle return spring from the throttle body (TB).
- Remove the 2 bolts and position the accelerator/speed control cable bracket aside.
- To install, tighten to 17 Nm (13 lb-ft).
- Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.
- Detach the wiring retainer from the TB stud bolt.
- Remove the 3 bolts, the stud bolt and the TB.
- Remove and discard the TB gasket.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
Clean all TB sealing surfaces and install a new TB gasket.
