Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

THROTTLE POSITION (TP) SENSOR







Removal
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove the 2 screws and the TP sensor.

Installation

1. NOTE: When installing the new TP sensor, make sure that the radial locator tab on the TP sensor is aligned with the radial locator hole on the throttle body.

Position the new TP sensor and install the 2 new screws.
- Tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).

2. Connect the TP sensor electrical connector.
3. Connect the battery ground cable.
