Exhaust System: Notes

The exhaust system consists of:

• an exhaust flexible pipe.
• two muffler assemblies.
• one resonator assembly.
• muffler brackets with isolators bolted to the body.
• an exhaust Y-pipe.
• a catalyst monitor sensor mounted to each catalytic converter.
• a LH and RH catalytic converter.

The exhaust system provides an exit for exhaust gases and reduces engine noise by passing exhaust gases through the catalytic converters, a muffler assembly and resonator. Rubber exhaust hanger isolators attach the exhaust system to the mounting hooks.
