Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

MASS AIR FLOW (MAF) SENSOR







Removal and Installation
1. Open the clamp on the air cleaner and separate the tray from the cover.
2. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector and detach the connector retainer.
3. Remove the grommet from the air cleaner cover and slide it down the electrical harness.
4. Pull the air cleaner inner cover and MAF sensor out of the air cleaner cover.
5. Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector and remove the inner cover and MAF sensor assembly.
6. Remove the bolts and the MAF sensor.
- To install, tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).

7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
