Spongy brake pedal with no warning indicator	Air in the brake hydraulic system	INSPECT the brake pedal and bracket for damage or incorrect installation. REPAIR or INSTALL new as necessary. If the brake pedal and bracket are OK, BLEED the brake system and hydraulic control unit (HCU). REFER to Brake System Bleeding in BRAKE SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION article.
Poor vehicle tracking during anti-lock function	Air in the hydraulic brake system HCU	Go to Pinpoint Test F .

Unintended ABS activation with no DTCs present	Incorrect or worn tires Underinflated tire(s) Suspension components Missing, damaged or misaligned wheel speed sensor tone rings	INSPECT the wheels and tires, front and rear suspension and the wheel speed sensor tone rings. REPAIR or INSTALL new as necessary.

The traction control system is inoperative	Traction control system is turned off	VERIFY that the system is turned on. CARRY OUT the ABS module and instrument cluster self-tests. RETRIEVE and RECORD any DTCs. REFER to the ABS Module DTC Chart and/or the Instrument Cluster DTC Chart.
	PCM not configured for traction control (front wheel drive [FWD] only)	VERIFY that the PCM is configured correctly. REFER to Programmable Module Installation in MODULE CONFIGURATION article.
	ABS wheel speed sensor fault	CARRY OUT the ABS module self-test. RETRIEVE and RECORD any DTCs. REFER to the ABS Module DTC Chart.
	High-speed controller area network (HS-CAN) communication bus	REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article to diagnose the no communication problem.
