Steering Effort Control Module (SECM)

Removal and Installation

NOTE: The right side lower instrument panel cover has been removed for clarity. The steering effort control module (SECM) is located on a bracket behind the carpet between the firewall and right side kick panel.





1. Position the carpet aside.
2. Disconnect the 2 steering effort control module (SECM) electrical connectors.
3. Remove the 2 nuts and the SECM.
^ To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-inch).
4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
