Removal And Installation: Generator: Installation

  1. Install the generator and hand-tighten the lower generator bolt.
  2. Install the upper generator stud and nut.
    • Tighten the generator stud to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
    • Tighten the generator nut to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).
  3. Tighten the lower generator bolt to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).
  4. Rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner and install the accessory drive belt on the generator.
  5. Install the cooling fan assembly. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
  6. Connect the generator electrical connector.
  7. Install the generator B+ terminal and tighten the B+ terminal nut to 17 Nm (150 lb-in).
  8. Connect the battery cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
