ABS Module DTC Chart
ABS MODULE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) LIST
| DTC | Description | Action |
|---|---|---|
| B1342 | ECU is Defective |
NOTE:
If other DTCs are present, REPAIR them before installing a new component. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. If DTC B1342 is retrieved, INSTALL a new module. REFER to ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE
in this service information. REPEAT the self-test. |
| B1483 | Brake Pedal Input Circuit Failure | The ABS module receives the brake pedal position switch signal from the Smart Junction Box (SJB) along the High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN) bus. The ABS module compares the brake pedal position message to the signal from the brake pressure transducer (internal to the ABS module). If the brake pedal position message does not agree with the brake pressure signal, DTC B1483 sets. CHECK for communication DTCs, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article. If there are no communication DTCs, CHECK for DTCs in the SJB. REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULE article. |
| B1676 | Battery Pack Voltage Out of Range | GO to PINPOINT TEST A . |
| B2477 | Module Configuration Failure | CONFIGURE the ABS module. REFER to Programmable Module Installation (PMI) in MODULE CONFIGURATION article. |
| B2741 | Sensor Cluster is Defective |
NOTE:
The stability control sensors are internal to the Restraints Control Module (RCM) and cannot be serviced separately. If a new yaw rate sensor, roll rate sensor, longitudinal accelerometer or lateral accelerometer are needed, a new RCM
must be installed. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. If B2471 returns, install a new RCM. REFER to
