The starter system controls the starting of the vehicle. The starter is enabled by the starter relay when the relay is activated by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) receives inputs from the start/stop switch, Body Control Module (BCM) and Transmission Range (TR) sensor before activating the starter relay to crank the engine.
