Component testing procedure

WIPER/WASHER SWITCH - COMPONENT TESTING

Circuit to test Connect self-powered test light or ohmmeter to terminals Move switch to these positions A good switch will indicate
Front washer switch circuit 1 and 8 Wash Closed circuit
Rest Open circuit
Rear washer switch circuit 4 and 8 Wash Closed circuit
Rest Open circuit
Front wiper high circuit 2 and 3 High Closed circuit
All positions except high Open circuit
Front wiper low circuit 6 and 3 Single pass Closed circuit
Low Closed circuit
All positions except low or single pass Open circuit
Front wiper single pass circuit 6 and 3 Single pass Closed circuit
Low Closed circuit
All positions except low or single pass Open circuit
Front wiper intermittent circuit 12 and 3 Intermittent Closed circuit
All positions except intermittent Open circuit
Rear wiper circuit 5 and 3 Off Open circuit
On Closed circuit
Wash Closed circuit
