Selector Lever: Installation

  1. Install the selector lever and the 4 selector lever bolts.
    • Tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).

  2. Connect the electrical connector.

  3. Install the selector lever cable on the selector lever bracket. Make sure the 2 clips are securely in place on the selector lever bracket.

  4. Connect the selector lever cable end to the selector lever.

  5. NOTE: Damage may occur to the center console if cardboard is not used to install the floor console trim panel.

    Insert the floor console trim panel and cardboard simultaneously between the seat and center console.

  6. Push the front of the floor console trim panels upward to attach the trim panel from the pin-type retainer.

  7. Push the floor console trim panel inward to attach the retaining clips.

  8. Install the floor console finish panel.

  9. Install the selector lever trim ring.

  10. Check the selector lever cable adjustment. Make sure that the vehicle starts in PARK and NEUTRAL and the reverse lamps illuminate in REVERSE. If an adjustment is necessary, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTMENT  in this information.
