Cross-Member: Service and Repair




Transmission Support Crossmember









1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Jacking and Lifting Service and Repair.

2. Remove the 2 transmission mount nuts from the transmission support crossmember. Discard the nuts.
- To install, tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).





3. NOTE: Do not allow the transmission to hang freely.

Support the transmission with a suitable jack.

4. NOTE: Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) transmission support crossmember shown, Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) transmission support crossmember similar.

Remove the transmission support crossmember.

1. Remove the 2 horizontal transmission support crossmember bolts and nuts (1 each side).
- To install, tighten to 127 Nm (94 lb-ft).

2. Remove the 4 vertical transmission support bolts and nuts (2 each side).
- To install, tighten to 99 Nm (73 lb-ft).

3. Remove the transmission support crossmember.





5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
