Removal and Installation

NOTICE: Spark plug wires must be connected correctly. For additional information, refer to the Coil Terminal-to-Cylinder Relationship illustration in the Description and Operation, Engine Ignition information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in poor engine performance. Engine Ignition

1. If necessary, detach the spark plug wire.





2. Disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug by slightly twisting while pulling upward.





3. NOTE: Remove foreign material with compressed air.

Remove the spark plug.

- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).

4. Inspect the spark plugs. For additional information, refer to Engine System - General Information Testing and Inspection.

5. Check and adjust the spark plug gap as necessary.





6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
