Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor - 4.0L













Removal and Installation

1. Disconnect the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.

2. Remove the bolt, the CMP sensor and discard the O-ring seal.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).

3. NOTE: Lubricate the new O-ring seal with clean engine oil prior to installation.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Install a new O-ring seal.
