Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair




Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor - 3.5L













Removal and Installation

1. Remove the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet pipe and the ACL. For additional information, refer to Intake Air Distribution and Filtering Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe and Air Cleaner.

2. Disconnect the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.

3. Remove the bolt and the CMP sensor.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

4. NOTE: Lubricate the CMP sensor O-ring seal with clean engine oil.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
