Anti-Theft - With Intelligent Access (IA)
PCM DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) LIST
| DTC | Description | Action |
|---|---|---|
| P1260 | Theft Detected, Vehicle Immobilized | If there are any Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) DTCs present in the Remote Function Actuator (RFA) module, ADDRESS them first. This DTC may also indicate a Controller Area Network (CAN) or parameter reset issue or a PCM power or ground issue. Make sure to verify if there are any communication issues/DTCs with any modules. For the CAN issue, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK Article. If DTC P1260 is the only DTC present, there may be a parameter reset issue, power or ground issue with the PCM. For the parameter reset issue, REFER to PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) PARAMETER RESET - WITH INTELLIGENT ACCESS (IA) . For the PCM power or ground issue, if necessary, CHECK the powers and grounds to the PCM. REFER to the SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS Article to determine the PCM power and ground circuits. |
| P1602 | Immobilizer/ECM Communication Error |
NOTE:
If RFA module DTC B10DA:61 is also present, address RFA module DTC B10DA:61 first. GO to PINPOINT TEST O
. |
| P1622 | Immobilizer ID Does Not Match | CARRY OUT a parameter reset of the RFA module and the PCM and CYCLE the ignition 3-5 times, making an attempt to start the vehicle each key cycle. REFER to PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) PARAMETER RESET - WITH INTELLIGENT ACCESS (IA) . CLEAR the DTCs. CYCLE the ignition. REPEAT the self-test. |
| All other DTCs | - | REFER to the INTRODUCTION - GASOLINE MODELS Article. |

| B10D7:31 | PATS Key: No Signal | This DTC sets during an Remote Function Actuator (RFA) module self-test if 2 programmed Intelligent Access (IA) keys are not detected inside the vehicle. Check each IA key individually to see if it operates the vehicle. If an IA key does not operate the vehicle, program that key. Refer to KEY PROGRAMMING USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT - WITH INTELLIGENT ACCESS (IA) . If 2 programmed IA keys are not present inside the vehicle, disregard this DTC. |
| B10D8:51 | Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) Key Less Than Minimum Programmed: Not Programmed | If other PATS DTCs are present, address them first. If DTC B10D8:51 is the only DTC present, PROGRAM additional keys (minimum of 2 keys must be programmed). REFER to KEY PROGRAMMING USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT - WITH INTELLIGENT ACCESS (IA) . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. |
