With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
Remove the ACL assembly. Refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .
Remove the 4 retainers and the underbody shield.

Remove the drain plug and drain the transmission fluid. Install the drain plug.
- Tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).

Remove the retainer from the main control cover studbolt and remove the 2 nuts and position aside the transmission fluid temperature control valve.

Loosen the clamp and disconnect the CAC outlet tube and position it aside.

Disconnect the transmission electrical connector, remove the 2 wiring retainers from the main control cover and position aside the transmission wiring harness.

NOTE: Note the location of the studbolts for assembly.
