Pinpoint Test O: Traction Control System Cannot Be Disabled

O1 CHECK FOR IPC DTCs
- Ignition ON.
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Self-Test - IPC.
- Is DTC U0121: 00 retrieved from the IPC?
  - YES : REFER to INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
  - No : GO to O2.
O2 CHECK THE MESSAGE CENTER TRACTION CNTRL SELECTION
- Using the message center button, navigate to the SETTINGS menu, then the DRIVER ASSIST menu and view the TRACTION CNTRL setting.
- Configure the traction control on and then off again.
- Does the TRACTION CNTRL selection change when configured to on and off?
  - YES : GO to O3.
  - No : REFER to INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES to diagnose message center does not operate correctly.
O3 CHECK THE STABILITY/TRACTION CONTROL INDICATOR (SLIDING CAR ICON) OFF LIGHT
- Ignition ON.
- Using the message center button, navigate to the SETTINGS menu, then the DRIVER ASSIST menu and view the TRACTION CNTRL setting.
- Configure the traction control on and then off again.
- Does the stability/traction control indicator (sliding car icon) OFF indicator illuminate when the traction control is turned off?
  - YES : The system is operating correctly at this time. TEST the system for normal operation.
  - No : REFER to INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES to diagnose the stability/traction control disabled indicator does not operate correctly.
