Programming the Autolock Feature Using the Door Lock Control Switch

NOTE: This feature can also be enabled or disabled using the message center switch functions, if equipped.
NOTE: The autolock feature can be enabled or disabled independently of the auto-unlock feature.
NOTE: The following steps must be carried out within 30 seconds or the procedure needs to be repeated. If the procedure needs to be repeated, wait 30 seconds between programming sessions.
  1. Turn the ignition switch from the OFF to the RUN position.
  2. Press the unlock button on the door lock control switch 3 times.
  3. Turn the ignition switch from the RUN to the OFF position.
  4. Press the unlock button on the door lock control switch 3 times.
  5. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position. The horn chirps once to indicate that programming mode is entered.
  6. NOTE: The unlock and lock buttons must be pressed within 5 seconds of each other.
  7. Within 30 seconds of entering the programming mode, press the unlock button and then the lock button on the door lock control switch within 5 seconds to enable/disable the autolock feature. The horn chirps once if the autolocks are disabled or a chirp followed by a honk if the autolocks are enabled.
  8. Programming ends when the ignition switch state changes or times out after 2 minutes.
