Programming the Auto-Unlock Feature Using the Door Lock Control Switch
NOTE:
This feature can also be enabled or disabled using the message center switch functions, if equipped.
NOTE:
The auto-unlock feature can be enabled or disabled independently of the autolock feature.
NOTE:
The following steps must be carried out within 30 seconds or the procedure needs to be repeated. If the procedure needs to be repeated, wait 30 seconds between programming sessions.
- Turn the ignition switch from the OFF to the RUN position.
- Press the unlock button on the door lock control switch 3 times.
- Turn the ignition switch from the RUN to the OFF position.
- Press the unlock button on the door lock control switch 3 times.
- Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position. The horn chirps once to indicate that programming mode is entered.
- Within 30 seconds of entering the programming mode, press the lock button on the door lock control switch then the unlock button to enable/disable the auto-unlock feature. The horn chirps once if the autolocks are disabled or a chirp followed by a honk if the autolocks are enabled.
- Programming ends when the ignition switch state changes or times out after 2 minutes.
NOTE:
The lock and unlock buttons must be pressed within 5 seconds of each other.
