Pinpoint Test

1. Ignition ON.
2. Using a scan tool, carry out the network test.

Does the PSCM (vehicles without active park assist) or SCCM (vehicles with active park assist) pass the network test? 

1. Yes: GO to 2  .
2. No:

   For vehicles not equipped with active park assist, REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE AC : The Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) Does Not Respond To The Scan Tool.

   For vehicles equipped with active park assist, REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE G : The Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) Does Not Respond To The Scan Tool.

1. Ignition ON.
2. Using a scan tool, carry out the ABS module self-test.
3. Clear the DTCs  .
4. Ignition OFF.
5. Ignition ON.
6. Repeat the ABS module self-test.
7. Record the ABS module DTCs  .

Is DTC U0131:00 retrieved again? 

1. Yes: GO to 3  .
2. No: The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.

1. Check the recorded DTCs  from the ABS self-test.

Is DTC U3003:16 or U3003:17 present? 

1. Yes:

   For DTC U3003:16, REFER to Diagnostic Routine A : U3003:16.

   For DTC U3003:17, REFER to Diagnostic Routine P : U3003:17.

2. No: For vehicles not equipped with active park assist, GO to 4  .

   For vehicles equipped with active park assist, GO to  5  .

1. Using a scan tool, carry out the PSCM self-test.

Is DTC U3003:16 or 17 present? 

1. Yes: REFER to DTC CHART: INTERACTIVE DIAGNOSTICS .
2. No: GO to  6  .

1. Using a scan tool, carry out the SCCM self-test.

Is DTC C0051:16 or 17 present? 

1. Yes: REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE L : C0051:16 or C0051:17.
2. No: GO to 6  .

1. Ignition ON.
2. Using a scan tool, carry out the self-test for all modules.
3. Retrieve the CMDTCs  from all modules.

Is DTC U0131:00 set in any other modules? 

1. Yes: CHECK OASIS  for any applicable TSBs  . If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the TSB instructions.

   If no TSBs  address this concern and the vehicle is not equipped with active park assist, INSTALL a new PSCM. REFER to STEERING GEAR (the module and steering gear are serviced as an assembly).

   If no TSBs  address this concern and the vehicle is equipped with active park assist, INSTALL a new SCCM. REFER to STEERING COLUMN CONTROL MODULE (SCCM) .

2. No: CHECK OASIS  for any applicable TSBs  . If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the TSB instructions.

   If no TSBs  address this concern and the vehicle is not equipped with adaptive cruise control, INSTALL a new ABS module. REFER to Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module .

   If no TSBs  address this concern and the vehicle is equipped with adaptive cruise control, INSTALL a new ABS module and HCU. REFER to Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) . Note ABS module and HCU are removed as an assembly.
