Removal and Installation

NOTE: Select parts are available for repair of some individual tailgate step components.

1. Lower the tailgate and open the assist step.

2. Remove the 2 tailgate step inside bolts.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).






3. Remove the 4 tailgate step upper bolts.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).






4. Remove the 2 tailgate step nab pin nuts.
- To install, tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).






5. Remove the tailgate step.

6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
