Selector Lever: Removal

  1. Remove the selector lever trim ring.

  2. Lift upward and open the storage compartment lid.
  3. Lift upward on the rear of the upper console finish panel and remove the upper console finish panel.

  4. Pull the floor console trim panel outward to release the retaining clips.

  5. Push the front of the floor console trim panel downward to detach the trim panel from the pin-type retainer.

  6. NOTE: Damage may occur to the center console if cardboard is not used to remove the floor console trim panel.

  7. Position a piece of cardboard between the LH floor console trim panel and the center console.
  8. Remove the LH floor console trim panel and cardboard simultaneously.

  9. Disconnect the selector lever cable from the selector lever.

  10. Remove the selector cable from the selector lever cable bracket.

  11. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  12. Cut floor console bridge where indicated in the illustration. Remove and discard the piece of floor console.

  13. NOTE: Selector lever removed for clarity.
  14. Remove the 4 selector lever bolts and remove the selector lever from the vehicle.
