  • No communication with the ABS module

  • For All-Wheel Drive (AWD) vehicles, no communication between the ABS module and the Restraints Control Module (RCM)

  • INSPECT the wheels and tires, front and rear suspension and the wheel speed sensor tone rings. REPAIR or INSTALL new as necessary.
  • Unintended ABS activation at low speeds or near the end of stopping the vehicle with no DTCs present
  • Incorrect or worn tires
  • Underinflated tire(s)
  • Suspension components
  • Missing, damaged or misaligned wheel speed sensor tone rings
  • INSPECT the wheels and tires, front and rear suspension and the wheel speed sensor tone rings. REPAIR or INSTALL new as necessary.
  • The stability/traction control system is inoperative
  • System is turned off
  • VERIFY that the system is turned on.
  • DTCs present in the ABS module
  • CARRY OUT the ABS module self-test. RETRIEVE and RECORD any DTCs. REFER to the ABS Module DTC Chart .
  • High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN) bus
