Programming the Auto-Unlock Feature Using the Keyless Entry Keypad
NOTE:
The auto-unlock feature is disabled from the factory on vehicles equipped with a manual transaxle, but can be enabled.
NOTE:
The auto-unlock feature can be enabled or disabled independently of the autolock feature.
NOTE:
Make sure that the vehicle's perimeter alarm is not armed, the key is in the OFF position and the doors are closed.
NOTE:
The following steps must be carried out within 30 seconds or the procedure will need to be repeated. If the procedure needs to be repeated, wait 30 seconds between programming sessions.
- Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
- Close all of the doors.
- Enter the factory set 5 digit entry code.
- Press and hold the 3/4 button. While holding the 3/4 button, press and release the 7/8 button. While still holding the 3/4 button, press and release the 7/8 button a second time.
- Release the 3/4 button. The horn chirps once if auto-unlock is disabled, or chirps once followed by a honk if auto-unlock is enabled.
