Selector Lever: Installation

  1. Position the selector lever assembly in the vehicle and install the 2 selector lever assembly nuts and the 2 selector lever assembly bolts.
    • Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

  2. Connect the selector lever electrical connector.

  3. Attach the wiring harness retainer to the selector lever stud.

  4. Position the carpet and install the carpet retainer to the selector lever stud.

  5. Install the floor console finish panel.
    • Connect the 2 ambient light electrical connectors, if equipped.
    • Connect the traction/hazard/trunk switch electrical connector.

  6. Close the storage compartment door.
  7. Install the selector lever bezel.

  8. NOTE: It is necessary to install a new plastic selector lever cable retaining clip prior to installation.

  9. Install the selector lever cable into the selector lever cable bracket.
  10. Connect the selector lever cable to the selector lever.

  11. Adjust the selector lever cable. For additional information, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTMENT .
