Selector Lever: Removal
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Disconnect the selector lever cable from the selector lever.
- Remove the selector lever cable from the selector lever cable bracket and discard the selector lever cable retaining clip.
- Remove the selector lever bezel.
- With a non-marring tool, lift the selector lever bezel upward.
- Open the storage compartment door.
- Remove the floor console finish panel.
- Lift the floor console finish panel upward to release the retaining clips.
- Disconnect the traction/hazard/trunk switch electrical connector.
- Disconnect the 2 ambient light electrical connectors, if equipped.
- Remove the carpet retainer from the selector lever stud and position the carpet aside.
- Detach the wiring harness retainer from the selector lever stud.
- Disconnect the selector lever electrical connector.
- Remove the 2 selector lever assembly nuts, the 2 selector lever assembly bolts and carefully lift the selector lever assembly from the vehicle.
NOTE:
When prying on a component, a non-marring tool must be used or damage to the component may occur.
