DTC Charts

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2013 Ford F-150. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Network DTCs (U-codes) are often a result of intermittent concerns such as damaged wiring or low battery voltage occurrences. Additionally, vehicle repair procedures such as module reprogramming often set network DTCs. Replacing a module to resolve a network DTC is unlikely to resolve the concern. To prevent repeat network DTC concerns, inspect all network wiring, especially connectors. Test the vehicle battery, refer to BATTERY, BATTERY MOUNTING & BATTERY CABLES .
NOTE: Some modules on this vehicle utilize a 5-character DTC followed by a 2-character failure-type code. The failure-type code provides information about specific fault conditions such as opens, or shorts to ground. Continuous memory DTCs have an additional 2-character DTC status code suffix to assist in determining DTC history.
COMMUNICATION NETWORK DTC CHART

DTC Description Source Action
U0001:88 High Speed CAN Communication Bus: Bus off Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) The module could not communicate on the network at a point in time. The fault is currently not present since the module is currently communicating with the scan tool reporting this DTC. CLEAR the DTC. REPEAT the network test with the scan tool. VERIFY the integrity of the connectors and wiring. Refer to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK for schematic and connector information.
U0028:08 Vehicle Communication Bus A: Bus Signal / Message Failures Restraints Control Module (RCM) The module could not communicate on the network at a point in time.
