Seat Cushion Third Row, Power: Disassembly

NOTE: For component identification and locations, refer to Seat - Exploded View, Third Row .

1.

Remove the third row backrest. For additional information, refer to Seat Backrest - Third Row, Power in this service information.

2.

Fold both load floor flapper panels back over exposing the Power-Fold Seat Module (PFSM) and wire harness.

3.

From under the RH load floor flapper panel, detach the 2 wire harness retainers and disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.

4.

From under the LH load floor flapper panel, detach the 3 wire harness retainers, disconnect the electrical connector, disengage and remove the Power-Fold Seat Module (PFSM) with wire harness.
- If necessary, disconnect the PFSM.

5.

Remove the 2 load floor panel screws on each side at the back of the cushion.

6.

Pull out to release the retainers and remove the load floor panel.

7.

Remove the screw, release the tab and remove the floor latch cover.

8.

Release the cushion cover retainers from the cushion frame, and remove the cushion cover and foam pad.
- On assembly, the lower anchors and tethers for children and child safety seat tether anchor must be accessible through the cushion cover.

9.

Remove the hog rings and cushion cover.

10.

Remove the 2 screws, pin-type retainer and inboard pivot cover.

11.

Remove the bushing.

12.

Remove the 3 screws and backrest latch inboard cover.
- Pull the release strap through the cover.

13.

Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- To install, tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).

14.

Remove the backrest latch in the following sequence.

  Remove the 2 backrest latch-to-cushion frame bolts.
  - To install, tighten to 60 Nm (44 lb-ft).

  Disconnect the power-fold seat motor.

15.

NOTE: LH side shown, RH similar.

If equipped, separate the pivot release cable and casing from the cushion pivot release lever and bracket. Remove the pivot release cable.

16.

Remove the 4 cushion frame-to-pivot tube assembly bolts and cushion frame.
- To install, tighten to 60 Nm (44 lb-ft).

17.

To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
