Seat Backrest Front: Installation

All seats 

1. 1.
   
   Install the backrest assembly:
   • Position the backrest assembly to the seat track and start the 4 recliner-to-seat track bolts by hand.
     • Tighten to 63 Nm (46 lb-ft).

1. 2.
   
   Connect the backrest feed electrical connector. Route and attach the wire harness retainers.

All seats Except Limo or Livery 

1. 3.
   
   Install the cushion side shield in the following sequence.

   1. 1.
      
      Return all retaining clips back to the cushion side shield before installing the shield.

   1. 2.
      
      Engage the hook retainer behind the cushion frame.

   1. 3.
      
      Align and engage the 3 retainers.

   1. 4.
      
      Install the screw at the front.

   1. 5.
      
      Install the scrivet at the back.

1. 4.
   
   From the front of the seat, connect the seat control switch electrical connectors and engage the wire harness retainer.

Limo or Livery Seats

   Install the seat control switch electrical connector.

   1. 1.
      
      Push seat control switch rearward toward electrical connector.

   1. 2.
      
      Push inward and lock into place.

All Seats Except Limo or Livery

   NOTE: The seat track rear height adjust must be all the way up or the recliner cover post will not slide out of the seat track hole.

   Install the recliner cover in the following sequence:

   1. 1.
      
      Return the barrel nut back to the seat before installing the cover

   1. 2.
      
      Slide the recliner cover post into the seat track hole.

   1. 3.
      
      Install the scrivet.

Limo or Livery Seats

1. 10.
   
   Attach the carpet flap toe-kick in the following sequence.

   1. 1.
      
      Install the pin-type retainers (only 1 pin-type retainer on the inboard side for Limo or Livery) into the cushion side shield and recliner cover.

   1. 2.
      
      Attach the J-clip to the cushion frame.

1. 11.
   
   Install the front seat. Refer to Seat - Front .
