Car Configuration Parameters

Car configuration parameters affect both the BCM  and IPC  . The parameters are set in the BCM  . The BCM  sends the car configuration parameters for backup to the IPC over the Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN).

A scan tool is required to set the car configuration parameters. During a Programmable Module Installation (PMI) of the BCM  , As-Built data must be obtained and installed. Any changed customer preference items are returned to the factory settings and must be manually reset.
