Car Configuration Parameters

Car configuration parameters affect both the BCM and IPC. The parameters are set in the BCM. The BCM sends the car configuration parameters for backup to the IPC over the Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN).
A scan tool is required to set the car configuration parameters. During a Programmable Module Installation (PMI) of the BCM, As-Built data must be obtained and installed. Any changed customer preference items are returned to the factory settings and must be manually reset.
