Repair procedures: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2014 Hyundai Elantra GT and 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Installation is the reverse of removal.
    NOTE: After replacement or reinstallation procedure of the valve body assembly, must perform procedures below.
    • Adding Automatic Transaxle Fluid (ATF).

      (Refer to "FLUID ")

    • Perform Transaxle Control Module (TCM) learning after replacing the valve body to prevent slow transaxle response, jerky acceleration and jerky startup.

      (Refer to Automatic Transaxle Control System - "REPAIR PROCEDURES ")

    • Use new valve body gasket (A).
