ABS Module Calibration

The calibration procedure is required for the ABS module to learn the "zero-position" of the steering wheel rotation sensor and the stability control sensor cluster. The vehicle must be on a level surface and must not be moving during calibration. If a DTC is stored for any component of the AdvanceTrac system, the DTC must be cleared or repaired before carrying out the calibration procedure. The need for calibration is indicated by the sliding-car icon flashing twice per second.

To calibrate the ABS module, connect the scan tool and carry out the IVD Initialization sequence for each of the above-mentioned sensor cluster sensors and for the steering angle sensor. Follow the scan tool directions. If a DTC is retrieved after calibration, refer to the ABS Module DTC Chart  .
