  • Using a diagnostic scan tool, RETRIEVE and RECORD all ABS  module Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
  • If ABS  module DTC  C0021:21, C0021:66 or C0021:77 is also present, GO to PINPOINT TEST N
  • If ABS  module DTC  C1015:64 is also present, GO to PINPOINT TEST X
  • If ABS  module Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) C0021:XX and  C1015:64 are present, GO to PINPOINT TEST X

  • Using a diagnostic scan tool, CARRY OUT the ABS  module self-test.
  • RETRIEVE and DIAGNOSE all ABS  module Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

C053D:00 Brake Pressure Sensor "A" Range/Performance: No Sub Type Information
  • CLEAR the DTC  . CYCLE the ignition from ON to OFF and back to ON. REPEAT the self-test. If DTC  C053D:00 returns, VERIFY all ABS  module-to-HCU  fasteners are tightened to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).
  • If all fasteners are tightened to their correct torque specifications, INSTALL a new ABS  module and HCU  assembly.

    REFER to: Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) .

  • Using a diagnostic scan tool, CLEAR the SOBDMC Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
C0541:00 Brake Pressure Sensor "B" Range/Performance: No Sub Type Information
  • CLEAR the DTC  . CYCLE the ignition from ON to OFF and back to ON. REPEAT the self-test. If DTC  C0541:00 returns, VERIFY all ABS  module-to-HCU fasteners are tightened to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).
  • If all fasteners are tightened to their correct torque specifications, INSTALL a new ABS  module and HCU  assembly.

    REFER to: Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) .

  • Using a diagnostic scan tool, CLEAR the SOBDMC Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
C0560:00 Brake Pressure Sensor Missing Calibration: No Sub Type Information
  • CLEAR the DTC  . CYCLE the ignition from ON to OFF and back to ON. REPEAT the self-test. If DTC  C0560:00 returns, VERIFY all ABS  module-to-HCU fasteners are tightened to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).
  • If all fasteners are tightened to their correct torque specifications, INSTALL a new ABS  module and HCU  assembly.

    REFER to: Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) .

  • Using a diagnostic scan tool, CLEAR the SOBDMC Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
C0563:00 ABS Control Module Performance: No Sub Type Information
  • Using a diagnostic scan tool, CARRY OUT the ABS module self-test.

  • The brake system pressure sensor is supplied voltage by the ABS  module. The ABS  module monitors this output and sets a DTC  when the voltage is out or range.
  • DIAGNOSE Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) C0564:00 and C0565:00 before diagnosing C056A:00. If DTC  C0564:00 or C0565:00 is not present, VERIFY all ABS  module-to-HCU  fasteners are tightened to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).
  • If all fasteners are tightened to their correct torque specifications, INSTALL a new ABS  module and HCU  assembly.

    REFER to: Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) .

  • Using a diagnostic scan tool, CLEAR the SOBDMC Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

  • The ABS  module could not communicate on the network at a point in time. The fault is not currently present since the module had to communicate with the diagnostic scan tool to report this DTC  .
  • VERIFY the integrity of the connectors and wiring. Refer to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK for schematic and connector information.
  • DIAGNOSE no HS-CAN  communication, all modules are not responding.

    REFER to: COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .

U1026:00 ABS Control Module Lost Communication with Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module: No Sub Type Information GO to PINPOINT TEST AA
U1027:00 ABS Control Module Lost Communication With ECM/PCM "A": No Sub Type Information GO to PINPOINT TEST I
U1028:00 ABS Control Module Received Invalid Data From ECM/PCM "A": No Sub Type Information This DTC  sets when the ABS  module receives invalid network data from the PCM  . RETRIEVE and DIAGNOSE all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) in the PCM  .
REFER to: ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS - PLUG-IN HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE (PHEV) .
U1029:00 ABS Control Module Received Invalid Data From Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module: No Sub Type Information This DTC  sets when the ABS  module receives invalid network data from the Hybrid/EV PCM  . RETRIEVE and REPAIR all non-network Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) in the Hybrid/EV PCM  .
REFER to: ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS - PLUG-IN HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE (PHEV) .
All Other SOBDMC  Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) - REFER to: ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS - PLUG-IN HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE (PHEV) .
