Diagnostic Aids

When this DTC is set, steering effort during parking maneuvers is increased and the steering wheel returnability to center is degraded. If equipped with active park assist, park assist is disabled when this DTC is set.

DTC U0140:00 indicates that the BCM cannot communicate over the HS-CAN, this could be due to a circuit fault in the HS-CAN or a BCM concern. Do not install a new EPAS assembly if this DTC is set.
