Steering Gear: Removal

If installing a new steering gear, upload the PSCM configuration to the scan tool.
Refer to: MODULE CONFIGURATION SYSTEM .
Remove the front subframe.
Refer to: FRONT SUBFRAME .
Remove the steering gear boot as shown.

1. Remove and discard the steering gear bolts.
2. Position the steering gear forward.
3. Rotate the front stabilizer bar upward.
4. Remove the steering gear.
