In most circumstances, the TCM sets DTCs to help guide with diagnostics. Refer to the DTC CHART before using the SYMPTOM CHART . The Condition column lists the vehicle condition. The Possible Sources column lists a detailed vehicle condition. The Action column lists the action to be performed to determine the cause of the condition. Each action lists the components that can cause the system and the individual components in that system.

Selector lever cable is out of correct gear relationship	Selector lever cable out of adjustment	REFER to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTMENT .
Selector lever cable is out of correct gear relationship	Loose selector lever cable or bracket	CHECK the selector lever cable and bracket. REFER to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTMENT .
Vibration - a high frequency (20-80 Hz) that is felt through the seat or selector lever. Changes with engine speed	Selector lever cable incorrectly routed, grounded out or loose	REFER to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTMENT .
