Normal Operation
The PSCM must be programmed with the correct vehicle information in order to operate correctly. Refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION SYSTEM for additional module configuration information.
This test generates a RVC for a new PSCM when directed to do so from pinpoint test.
AA1: CHECK VEHICLE HISTORY
Check the vehicle history for recent service actions related to the PSCM or steering gear.
Have there been any recent service actions related to the PSCM or steering gear?
| Yes | No |
|---|---|
| REPEAT the PMI procedure as directed by the diagnostic scan tool or CONFIGURE the PSCM using the vehicle as-built data. | Go to AA2. |
AA2: VERIFY THE PSCM DTC
Clear the PSCM DTCs.
Ignition OFF.
Wait at least 90 seconds for the modules to completely shut off.
Ignition ON, engine OFF.
Press Read Vehicle Information button to retrieve DTCs from the vehicle.
Does the DTC return?

|---|---|
| Go to AA3. | The condition causing the DTC is not present at this time. |
AA3: OBTAIN PSCM RVC
Obtain the PSCM RVC: In order to claim the SLTS labor operation for completion of the PSCM testing, the code obtained through the link below must be included on the associated warranty claim.
INSTALL a new PSCM.
