The engine cranks slowly	Battery Starter motor	CARRY OUT the STARTER MOTOR Component Tests .
The starter spins but the engine does not crank	Starter motor	INSPECT the starter motor mounting and engagement. REFER to STARTER MOTOR DRIVE GEAR AND FLYWHEEL RING GEAR INSPECTION .
	Damaged flywheel or flexplate ring gear teeth	INSPECT the flywheel or flexplate for damaged, missing or worn teeth. REPAIR as necessary.
