Car Configuration Parameters

Car configuration parameters affect both the BCM  and IPC  . The parameters are set in the BCM  . The parameters are also set in the IPC  as backup data for service, in case online As-Built data is not available.

A scan tool is required to set the car configuration parameters. During a PMI  of the BCM  , As-Built data must be obtained and installed. Any changed customer preference items are returned to the factory settings and must be manually reset.
